Promoting health literacy is everyone’s responsibility, as up to 6 in 10 of the adult population struggles to understand health information. This means employees working in health and social care who are ‘health literacy aware’ can better support those groups they work with.
To enable organisations to become more health and digital literacy friendly, Digital Notts have partnered with the Patient Information Forum to develop a free, CPD-accredited training course for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICS employees.
The eLearning course provides learners with an understanding of the importance of health and digital literacy. It also provides some simple techniques to check understanding and improve communication with citizens.
