Care@Home Funding Opportunity For Home-Based Care Providers (WAVE 2)

We are reopening the opportunity for home-based care providers registered in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire to express interest in a grant contribution to support them to introduce digital technology into their approaches to supporting people.

There are seven grant contributions of up to a maximum of £5,000 available.

In wave one, three awards were made:

One care provider is investing in digital dementia clocks and pill dispensers which they feel will benefit people they are supporting who have memory issues, helping them to be able to administer their own medication independently

One care provider is investing in a connected care platform that will allow them to offer remote monitoring to the people they support, which they feel will help to keep them safe, well, and independent for longer

The third care provider is also investing in in-home sensors linked to an insights platform that will allow them to offer remote monitoring and understand if there are things happening when the person is on their own at home that might indicate that their care and support plan needs to be adapted

All three care providers will be working with Digital Notts over the coming months to understand the impact the digital technology they are investing in has on the way they are able to support people.

Expressions of interest are invited until Tuesday 5 March 2024 . The funding contributions will then be agreed by the Digitising Social Care Programme Board, which is made up of representatives of Nottingham City Council, Nottinghamshire County Council, Digital Notts, and the Nottinghamshire Care Association, at their meeting on Thursday 7 March 2024.
