Improving digital inclusion and digital confidence can have a big impact upon supporting carers from across our communities. That’s one of the key messages as we celebrate Carers Rights Day today
As part of our vision to ensure that everyone can benefit from digital access to health and care services, Digital Notts are collaborating with Community and Voluntary Sector Organisations who are passionate about driving social change by helping people improve their skills and confidence to thrive in a digital world.
Since September 2021, we’ve been working with Carers Federation | Supporting carers of all ages, a national organisation based in Nottingham, providing support and guidance to carers throughout England to embed digital skills support into their work with carers.
We’ve helped over 200 of our most vulnerable residents and carers, via workshops, 121 coaching sessions and training sessions for Digital Health Champions, helping residents to gain the skills, confidence, motivation and connectivity to do more with digital, whilst also enabling them to improve their health, care and wellbeing through targeted, person-centred support.

One of the key features most beneficial for carers, is the ‘Linked Profile’ function. This feature enables family members and carers to access the NHS App on their behalf. Through a Linked Profile, a designated family member or carer can book appointments, order repeat prescriptions and view their health record where appropriate.
