Our team is made up from a group of dedicated professionals that have worked across health, care and technology in some capacity for many years. Every person has something unique to add to the Digital Notts programme, but there is one thing that binds us together. It’s our passion for using technology to improve the care and experience of patients – their families, carers and practitioners, across all of our services.
Our role is to coordinate the delivery of the Digital Notts programme by providing a clear decision-making structure and framework for all the organisations involved. Our plans, targets and priorities are agreed by the two Health and Wellbeing Boards for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. Supporting this is a programme board, a number of leadership and implementation groups and programme management team. However, the majority of our work is achieved by working with the experts and professionals in each of our partner organisations.
Joint Chief Digital Information Officer for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICB and Derby and Derbyshire ICB
Andrew loves connecting people and ideas to achieve more together. With over 30 years in the NHS and 20 years leading digital transformation, he served as Chief Digital Officer at Nottingham University Hospitals and founded EMRAD – a national exemplar in digital collaboration, managing imaging services for 11 hospitals and 5.5 million people. Now in a pioneering Joint Chief Digital Information Officer role across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Integrated Care Boards, Andrew is passionate about using technology not for its own sake, but to provide the right information at the right time so every citizen can enjoy the best possible health and wellbeing, underpinned by strong governance and collaboration.
Programme Director
Alexis is passionate about improving patient outcomes and ensuring socio-economic factors never limit access to digital services. As Programme Director for Digital Notts, she leads the development and delivery of the ICS digital strategy, overseeing large-scale transformation programmes that shape how health and care services use technology. Alexis brings extensive experience from senior roles in information, governance, and digital transformation across the NHS, local authority, and criminal justice, driving innovation and creating opportunities for the local population to interact with services through digital solutions.
Assistant Director of Business and Finance
Jonathan brings extensive senior-level experience primarily within the NHS. His background spans successful contract tenders, partnership development, service redesign, financial planning, costing, evaluation, and operational management of health centres and large teams. As the Programme Management Office (PMO) lead, Jonathan ensures robust governance and alignment across digital transformation programmes, delivering sustainable change through a value-based approach. A registered Future-Focused Finance Value Maker and active member of the Healthcare Finance Management Association, he is committed to enabling rapid digital transformation to support new models of care for the population. Outside work, Jonathan enjoys camping with his family, swimming, playing double bass, and coaching kids’ football.
Interoperability Programme Lead
Andrew Haw brings a long career in informatics and IT management to Digital Notts. With extensive experience designing and implementing large-scale systems across government and NHS sectors, Andrew first joined the NHS in 1992 as Director of an IM&T service in Manchester before holding senior ICT roles in Birmingham, including at University Hospital Birmingham and the local health authority. He leads the East Midlands Secure Data Environment for Research. With extensive experience in digital health transformation, Andrew drives initiatives that enable seamless data sharing and integration across care settings, supporting the delivery of Shared Care Records and advancing interoperability between regional systems. Since 2019, Andrew has led the ICS on digital strategy, interoperability, and the next generation of Shared Care Records, while also driving innovation through governance groups such as the Digital Strategy Oversight Group (DSOG). Outside work, he enjoys going to the gym and walking the UK’s hills with his wife and four adult children.
Public-Facing Digital Services Programme Lead
Jane is an experienced communications and marketing specialist with a strong background in the public sector and a proven track record of delivering major change management initiatives. Since joining the team in 2020 as Project and Business Change Manager for Assistive Technologies, she has played a key role in shaping the Public Facing Digital Services (PFDS) programme, which includes initiatives such as digital care planning for respiratory conditions, assistive technology rollouts, and digitising social care. Jane has contributed to projects that achieved significant milestones, including 99% of primary care practices adopting online consultation tools, doubling the use of digital letters to 98,000 per month, and supporting NHS App registrations for over half the local population. Her work has helped drive system-wide digital transformation, improve patient engagement, and deliver measurable benefits such as reduced carbon footprint and enhanced remote monitoring for vulnerable patients. Passionate about innovation, Jane is now focused on using her communication and project management skills to expand digital healthcare and technology-enabled care across Nottinghamshire.
