Delivering accountable, transparent and collaborative digital transformation across Nottingham & Nottinghamshire
Digital Notts is committed to ensuring that digital transformation is not only innovative but also accountable, secure and inclusive. Our governance framework provides the structure and assurance needed to deliver digital programmes that meet the needs of our citizens, workforce and system partners.

We’ve developed a governance model that is:


  • Collaborative – bringing together NHS organisations, local authorities, and care providers.
  • Transparent – with clear reporting lines and decision-making processes.
  • Inclusive – ensuring representation from across the ICS and alignment with population needs.
  • Assured – independently audited and aligned with national standards.

Our Structure

The governance structure maintains strong links to all system transformation programmes and groups. Digital Notts operates under a governance structure that includes:

  • Digital Strategy Oversight Group (DSOG) 
  • Digital Collaborative ICT Oversight Group (DCOG)
  • Alignment with the ICS Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) Strategy

These groups provide system oversight and delivery management. 

Digital Notts regularly report to the Finance and Performance Committee and the System Transformation and Efficiencies Group.

Governance within Digital Notts is rooted in:

  • The Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Digital Charter 
  • Terms of Reference for all governance groups, ensuring clarity of purpose and accountability.
  • Policies including the national Digital Inclusion frameworks and sustainability standards.

Sustainability

Sustainability is at the heart of Digital Nott’s governance. The approved framework for sustainable digital transformation, adopted across all system-wide programmes, ensures that we:

  • Manage limited resources efficiently and align to system priorities.
  • Commit to measurable, data-driven outcomes that validate investment and strategic direction.
  • Reinvest benefits from digital transformation into ongoing, sustainable system-wide improvements.
  • Align with the ICS priorities in the Integrated Care Strategy, supporting both financial and environmental sustainability.
